And Greenbaum remains optimistic that with the right strategies and precautions, the small hospital will not be overwhelmed by cases and skiing can stay open during the season for both visitors and locals. ![]() Despite these developments, the ski resort, hotels, bars and restaurants remain open in the town. And in January, following the Christmas and New Year’s tourism rush, COVID-19 cases in Teton County skyrocketed to some of their highest levels since the pandemic began. With just one major hospital and eight emergency room physicians serving Teton County, any increase in COVID-19 cases is cause for concern.
